Key Points

  • Order for 8 Cargo Vessels: The agreement entails the design and construction of eight 6300 Deadweight Tonnage (DWT) dry cargo vessels.
  • Follow-Up Order: This win builds on UCSL’s success in June 2023, where they secured a contract for six 3800 DWT dry cargo vessels for the same client.
  • Environmentally Friendly Design: The vessels will be designed by Conoship International of the Netherlands and will be built as eco-friendly diesel-electric ships, catering to the transportation of general cargo within European coastal waters.
  • Project Value and Timeline: The total project value for all eight vessels is estimated at ₹1,100 crore (approximately USD 1.4 billion), with completion targeted for September 2028.

UCSL’s Continued Success

  • These include two 62T Bollard Pull Tugs for Adani Harbor Services and a 70T Bollard Pull Tug for Polestar Maritime, all designed and built to meet India’s government-approved tugboat standards.
  • UCSL has secured repeat orders for four additional 70T Bollard Pull Tugs from these satisfied customers.
