United Breweries Unveils Queenfisher Premium Lager in Maharashtra

On June 6, 2024, United Breweries Limited announced in a stock exchange filing the launch of Queenfisher Premium Lager Beer: The Queen of Good Times from the House of Kingfisher in Maharashtra.

The company stated that after receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from consumers in Goa, Meghalaya and Assam, they are delighted to introduce this to new markets.

They further added that Queenfisher’s packaging embraces inclusivity and celebrates the spirit of sisterhood. It showcases silhouettes of diverse women against a lively purple background, with the iconic bird uplifted and crowned, honouring the women in our lives. Inspired by the principles of Kingfisher, Queenfisher creates a safe space for meaningful and honest conversations, acknowledging the harsher judgments women often face in society.

Initially launched in March in Goa, the new lager beer quickly captured significant consumer interest. The launch event also introduced the iconic calendar, now called The Galendar, which features real-life stories of women photographed by Avani Rai. Each page includes a QR code that, when scanned, unveils unique moments of sisterhood through films directed by Kopal Naithani.

The 500 ml Queenfisher Premium Lager Beer cans are readily available at leading outlets across Maharashtra.
