Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 01 January, 2024

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with the Sensex down around 60 points or 0.10% at 72,190 while the Nifty-50 down around 3 points or 0.01% at 21,730. About 2,515 shares have advanced, 1,080 declined, and 221 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Tata Motors Ltd, Nestle India Ltd and Tata Steel Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Bharti Airtel Ltd and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.77% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.81%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd and Vodafone Idea Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd and HPL Electric Power Ltd.

The BSE Telecommunication Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Information Technology Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Telecommunication Index soared 1.60% led by RailTel Corporation Ltd and Sterlite Technologies Ltd while the BSE IT Index was down 1.1% dragged down by Sonata Software Ltd and Black Box Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Vodafone Idea Ltd, JBM Auto Ltd and PTC Industries Ltd.
