On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with the Sensex up around 394 points or 0.59% at 66,473 and the Nifty-50 up around 119 points or 0.60% at 19,809. About 2,370 shares have advanced, 636 declined, and 130 are unchanged on the BSE.
The top Sensex gainers were Wipro Ltd, Hindustan Unilever Ltd, UltraTech Cement Ltd and NTPC Ltd, whereas the top Sensex losers were only IndusInd Bank.
All the sectoral indices were trading in green with the BSE Commodities Ltd Index and BSE Utilities Index being the top gainers. The BSE Commodities Index soared 1.12%, led by Andhra Paper Ltd and DCW Ltd and the BSE Utilities Index was up 1.12% led by Gujarat Industries Power Co. Ltd and Torrent Power Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.95% and the BSE Small-cap index up 1.05%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Torrent Power Ltd and Delhivery Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Zee Media Ltd and Gensol Engineering Ltd.
