Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 16 February, 2024

On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading in the green with the Sensex up around 350 points or 0.50% at 72,400 while the Nifty-50 up around 117 points or 0.53% at 22,027. About 2,388 shares have advanced, 1,150 declined and 146 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows: The top Sensex gainers were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Tata Motors Ltd and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Axis Bank, ITC Ltd and Power Grid Corporation Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading in the green, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.63% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.91%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Castrol India Ltd and TVS Motor Company Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Data Patterns (India) Ltd and Kopran Ltd

The BSE Consumer Discretionary Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Utilities Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Consumer Discretionary Index soared 1.3% led by Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd and HPL Electric & Power Ltd while the BSE Utilities Index was down 0.39% dragged down by Torrent Power Ltd and Rattan Power Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Rain Industries Ltd, Dish TV Ltd and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
