Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 16 May, 2024

On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading in the green with the Sensex up around 225 points or 0.31% at 73,207, while the Nifty-50 was up around 57 points or 0.26% at 22,258. About 2,088 shares have advanced; 871 declined and 115 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:

The top Sensex gainers were Bharti Airtel Ltd, Infosys Ltd and Tech Mahindra Ltd while the top Sensex losers were Nestle India Ltd, Tata Motors Ltd and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading in green with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.62% and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.67%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Oil India Ltd and SJVN Ltd. In contrast, Kirloskar Brothers Ltd and Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd were the top small-cap gainers.

The BSE Information Technology Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Utilities Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Information Technology Index gained by 1.50%, up by Xchanging Solutions Ltd and Quick Heal Technologies Ltd while the BSE Utilities Index is down by 0.35% dragged by NLC India Ltd and Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: Aadhar Housing Finance Ltd, Somany Ceramics Ltd and Apollo Tyres Ltd.
