Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 17 January, 2024

On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with the Sensex down around 831.50 points or 1.14% at 72,297.27while the Nifty-50 down around 239.35 points or 1.09 at 21,793. About 1,338 shares have advanced, 1,777 declined, and 92 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Larson & Toubro Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd and HCL Technologies Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were HDFC Bank, Tata Steel and Kotak Bank Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.49% and the BSE Small-cap index down 0.19%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd and The New India Assurance Company Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Network18 media & investments ltd and Tv18 broadcast ltd.

The BSE information technology Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE bankex Index was the top losing sector. The BSE information technology Index soared 0.61% led by Quick Heal Technologies Ltd and Ramco systems Ltd while the BSE bankex Index was down 2.13% dragged down by HDFC Bank Ltd and AU small finance bank Ltd.
