Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 18 January, 2024

On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading in red with the Sensex down around 580 points or 0.85% at 70,900 while the Nifty-50 down around 204 points or 0.95% at 21,360. About 718 shares have advanced, 2,415 declined, and 89 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows:
The top Sensex gainers were Axis Bank, Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd and ICICI Bank whereas the top Sensex losers were NTPC Ltd, Asian Paints Ltd and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading lower, with the BSE Mid-cap index down 2.50% and the BSE Small-cap index down 2.40%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Aarti Industries Ltd and Godrej Industries Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Nucleus Software Exports Ltd and Birla Corporation Ltd.

All the sectoral indices were trading in red with the BSE Realty Index and BSE Power Index being the top gainers. The BSE Power Index gained by 1.82%, up by NHPC Ltd and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd while the BSE Realty Index is up by 1.84% led by Godrej Properties Ltd and DLF Ltd.
