Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 18 March, 2024

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading flattish with the Sensex up around 38 points or 0.05% at 72,675, while the Nifty-50 was down around 15 points or 0.08% at 22,009. About 1,797 shares have advanced; 1,465 declined; and 125 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:

The top Sensex gainers were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Tata Steel Ltd and Larsen & Toubro Ltd while the top Sensex losers were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Titan Company Ltd and Asian Paints Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading lower, with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.15% and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.20%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd and Rajesh Exports Ltd, while the top small-cap gainers were Jindal Poly Films Ltd and Kingfa Science & Technology (India) Ltd.

The BSE Metals Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Services Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Metals Index surged by 1.1%, up by Steel Authority of India Ltd and APL Apollo Tubes Ltd while the BSE Services Index is down by 0.85% led by Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd and Vikas Lifecare Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: Gensol Engineering Ltd, The Anup Engineering Ltd and Macrotech Developers Ltd.
