Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 21 December, 2023

On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with the Sensex up around 20 points or 0.02% at 71,515 while the Nifty-50 up around 10 points or 0.04% at 21,152. About 2,349 shares have advanced, 1,188 declined, and 147 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Power Grid Corporation of India, HDFC Bank and Wipro Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Larsen & Toubro, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.75% and the BSE Small-cap index up 1%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Oil India Ltd and Sun TV Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were HBL Power Systems Ltd and Shyam Metalics and Energy Ltd.

The BSE Energy Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Bankex Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Energy Index soared 1.18% led by Oil India Ltd and ONGC while the BSE Bankex Index was down 0.20% dragged down by Axis Bank and IndusInd Bank.
