Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 22 May, 2024

On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading mixed with the Sensex up around 45 points or 0.05% at 73,982, while the Nifty-50 was down around 8 points or 0.03% at 22,523. About 1,377 shares have advanced; 1,703 declined and 114 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:

The top Sensex gainers were Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Reliance Industries Ltd and Nestle India Ltd while the top Sensex losers were JSW Steel Ltd, State Bank of India and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading in the red with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.60% and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.67%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were New India Assurance Company Ltd and Union Bank. In contrast, HG Infra Engineering Ltd and ITI Ltd were the top small-cap gainers.

The BSE Realty Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Services Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Realty Index gained by 1%, up by Macrotech Developers Ltd and The Phoenix Mills Ltd while the BSE Services Index is down by 1% dragged by Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd and Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: Railtel India Ltd, PNC Infratech Ltd and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.
