Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 23 May, 2024

On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading in green with the Sensex up around 260 points or 0.35% at 74,485, while the Nifty-50 was up around 72 points or 0.32% at 22,670. About 1,942 shares have advanced; 1,000 declined and 109 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:

The top Sensex gainers were Larsen & Toubro Ltd, Asian Paints Ltd and Axis Bank while the top Sensex losers were JSW Steel Ltd, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd and Tata Steel Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading in the green with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.48% and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.49%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Indian Railway Finance Ltd and Macrotech Developers Ltd. In contrast, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd and PG Electroplast Ltd were the top small-cap gainers.

The BSE Industrials Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Metals Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Industrials Index gained by 1.1%, up by Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd and Data Patterns Ltd while the BSE Metals Index is down by 1% dragged by NMDC Ltd and Vedanta Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd, Go Digit General Insurance Ltd and Cochin Shipyard Ltd.
