Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 25 January, 2024

On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading in the red with the Sensex down around 300 points or 0.50% at 70,714 while the Nifty-50 down around 82 points or 0.38% at 21,372. About 2,026 shares have advanced, 1,041 declined, and 84 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows:
The top Sensex gainers were IndusInd Bank, NTPC Ltd and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were HCL Technologies Ltd, Axis Bank and HDFC Bank.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.40% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.75%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were NHPCL Ltd and SJVN Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd and Aditya Vision Ltd.

The BSE Utilities Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE IT Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Utilities Index soared 1.85% led by NLC India Ltd and NHPC Ltd while the BSE IT Index was down 0.85% dragged down by Tech Mahindra Ltd and KPIT Technologies Ltd.
