Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 28 May, 2024

On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading in the green with the Sensex up around 148 points or 0.20% at 75,540, while the Nifty-50 was up around 55 points or 0.25% at 22,988. About 1,408 shares have advanced; 2,079 declined and 159 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:

The top Sensex gainers were Ultratech Cement Ltd, Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Reliance Industries Ltd while the top Sensex losers were Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd and Tech Mahindra.

The indices in the broader markets were trading in the red with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.10% and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.43%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Torrent Power Ltd and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. In contrast, Oriental Aromatics Ltd and Sumitomo Chemical India Ltd were the top small-cap gainers.

The BSE Metals Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Realty Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Metals Index gained by 1.1%, up by Hindalco Industries Ltd and Vedanta Ltd while the BSE Realty Index is down by 1% dragged by Godrej Properties Ltd and The Phoenix Mills Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: Inox Wind Ltd, Timken India Ltd and Ashok Leyland Ltd.
