Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 29 January, 2024

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading in the green with the Sensex up around 685 points or 0.95% at 71,380 while the Nifty-50 up around 214 points or 1% at 21,567. About 2,133 shares have advanced, 1,146 declined and 118 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Larsen & Toubro Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were ITC Ltd, JSW Steel Ltd and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.  

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.80% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.65%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were REC Ltd and Power Finance Corporation Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Shakti Pumps India Ltd and IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd.

The BSE Utilities Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Realty Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Utilities Index soared 3% led by KPI Green Energy Ltd and NHPC Ltd while the BSE Realty Index was down 0.40% dragged down by Macrotech Developers Ltd and Sobha Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Rites Ltd, Infibeam Avenues Ltd and SJVN Ltd.
