Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 29 May, 2024

On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading in the red with the Sensex down around 260 points or 0.35% at 74,910, while the Nifty-50 was down around 77 points or 0.33% at 22,812. About 1,536 shares have advanced; 1,435 declined and 96 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:

The top Sensex gainers were Tata Steel Ltd, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd and Bharti Airtel Ltd while the top Sensex losers were HDFC Bank, Tech Mahindra Ltd and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading mixed with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.13% and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.25%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd and Torrent Power Ltd. In contrast, Campus Activewear Ltd and Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Ltd were the top small-cap gainers.

The BSE Telecommunication Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Auto Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Telecommunication Index gained by 0.71%, up by GTL Infra Ltd and Vodafone Idea Ltd while the BSE Auto Index is down by 0.75% dragged by Apollo Tyres Ltd and TVS Motor Company Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: One 97 Communications Ltd, Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.
