Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 03 May, 2024

On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading in the red with the Sensex down around 200 points or 0.25% at 74,435, while the Nifty-50 was down around 22 points or 0.10% at 22,628. About 1,578 shares have advanced; 1,935 declined and 174 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:

The top Sensex gainers were Bajaj Finance Ltd, Bajaj FinServ Ltd and Tata Steel Ltd while the top Sensex losers were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Larsen & Toubro Ltd and Bharti Airtel Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading mixed with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.35% and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.06%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Supreme Industries Ltd. In contrast, AVT Natural Products Ltd and Rushil Decor Ltd were the top small-cap gainers.

The BSE Metals Index was the top gaining among the sectoral indices and the BSE Telecommunication Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Metals Index gained by 1.30%, up by Coal India Ltd and Steel Authority of India Ltd while the BSE Telecommunication Index is down by 0.85% dragged by RailTel Corporation Ltd and Tejas Networks Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, Gensol Engineering Ltd and Ajanta Pharma Ltd
