Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were NTPC Ltd, Bajaj Finance Ltd and IndusInd Bank whereas the top Sensex losers were Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd and Tech Mahindra Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.30% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.95%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Godrej Properties Ltd and Power Finance Corporation of India while the top small-cap gainers were Vikas Lifecare Ltd and Kolte Patil Developers Ltd.

The BSE Realty Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Teck Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Realty Index soared 5.5% led by Macrotech Developers Ltd and DLF Ltd while the BSE Teck Index was down 0.02% dragged down by PVR Inox Ltd and HCL Technologies Ltd.
