Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 05 February, 2024

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading in the green with the Sensex up around 85 points or 0.12% at 72,174 while the Nifty-50 up around 55 points or 0.27% at 21,912. About 2,067 shares have advanced, 1,658 declined and 177 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows:
The top Sensex gainers were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Tata Power Ltd and Tata Steel Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bharti Airtel and Bajaj FinServ Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.95% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.55%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were SJVN Ltd and NHPC Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Mishtaan Foods Ltd and Punjab & Sind Bank.

The BSE Oil & Gas Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Bankex Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Oil & Gas Index soared 1.6% led by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Petronet LNG Ltd while the BSE Bankex Index was down 0.50% dragged down by Kotak Mahindra Bank and HDFC Bank.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: UCO Bank, JTL Industries Ltd and Salasar Techno Engineering Ltd.
