On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with the Sensex down around 85E points or 0.11% at 71,933 while the Nifty-50 down around 30 points or 0.14% at 21,689. About 2,130 shares have advanced, 1,483 declined, and 139 are unchanged on the BSE.
The top Sensex gainers were Wipro Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd and Infosys Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Nestle India Ltd, IndusInd Bank and Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.10% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.40%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Vodafone Idea Ltd and Yes Bank while the top small-cap gainers were Mirza International Ltd and BCL Industries Ltd.
The BSE Auto Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Healthcare Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Auto Index soared 0.55% led by Apollo Tyres Ltd and MRF Ltd while the BSE Healthcare Index was down 0.55% dragged down by Supriya Lifesciences Ltd and Glenmark Life Science Ltd.
