Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 5 October, 2023

On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with the Sensex up around 330 points or 0.50% at 65,555 and the Nifty-50 up around 98 points or 0.50% at 19,534. About 2,143 shares have advanced, 1,182 declined, and 169 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Tata Consultancy India Ltd, Titan Company Ltd and Infosys Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Nestle India Ltd, NTPC Ltd and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

The BSE Consumer Durables Index was the only gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Utilities Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Consumer Durables Index soared 1% led by Havells India Ltd and Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd while the BSE Utilities Index was down 0.80% dragged down by Rattan India Power Ltd and PTC India Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.15% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.45%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Sun TV Ltd and Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Elin Electronics Ltd and Apollo Micro Systems Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Nazara Technologies Ltd, Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd and Anant Raj Ltd.
