Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 8 December, 2023

On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with the Sensex up around 250 points or 0.35% at 69,773 while the Nifty-50 up around 77 points or 0.32% at 20,967. About 1,957 shares have advanced, 1,617 declined, and 158 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows

The top Sensex gainers were JSW Steel Ltd, HCL Technologies Ltd and HDFC Bank whereas the top Sensex losers were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and Bajaj Finance Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading mixed, with the BSE Mid-cap index down 0.1% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.1%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Zee Entertainment Ltd and REC Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Patel Engineering Ltd and Purvankara Ltd.

The BSE Metals Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Power Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Metals Index soared 1.1% led by Jindal Steel Ltd and Coal India Ltd while the BSE Power Index was down 0.91% dragged down by Adani Green Energy Ltd and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Patel Engineering Ltd, GMR Airport Infrastructure Ltd and KIOCL Ltd.
