Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 08 February, 2024

On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading in the red with the Sensex down around 175 points or 0.24% at 71,966 while the Nifty-50 down around 51 points or 0.23% at 21,880. About 1,913 shares have advanced, 1,686 declined and 155 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows:
The top Sensex gainers were State Bank of India, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd and HCL Technologies Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were ICICI Bank, Nestle India Ltd and ITC Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.90% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.25%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Cummins India Ltd and Bank of India while the top small-cap gainers were S H Kelkar and Company Ltd and Just Dial Ltd.

The BSE Utilities Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE FMCG Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Utilities Index soared 1.15% led by JSW Energy Ltd and Torrent Power Ltd while the BSE FMCG Index was down 1% dragged down by Venky’s India Ltd and Mishtann Foods Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd, General Insurance Corporation of India and The New India Assurance Company Ltd.
