Watch Out for These Low-Priced Stocks That Were Locked in The Upper Circuit on July 08, 2024

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading in the red with the Sensex down around 141 points or 0.18% at 79,863, while the Nifty-50 was down around 39 points or 0.14% at 24,284. About 1,955 shares have advanced; 1,835 declined and 169 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index:

The top Sensex gainers were Nestle (India) Ltd, Hindustan Unilever and ITC Ltd while the top Sensex losers were Titan Ltd, Adani Port Ltd and Asian Paints.

The indices in the broader markets were trading in the green with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.14% and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.20%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Indian Rail Finance Corporation Ltd and Oil India Ltd. In contrast, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd and Kiri Industries Ltd were the top small-cap gainers.

The BSE FMCG Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Consumer Durables Index was the top losing sector. The BSE FMCG Index gained by 1.37%, up by GRM Overseas Ltd and DCM Shriram Industries Ltd while the BSE Consumer Durables Index plunged by 1.57%, down by Titan Ltd and Blue Star Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these three stocks were trending: Metrobrands Ltd, 360 One Wam Ltd, and Swan Energy Ltd.
