Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 8 November, 2023

On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading flat with the Sensex up around 15 points or 0.02% at 64,957 and the Nifty-50 up around 25 points or 0.12% at 19,430. About 2181 shares have advanced, 1123 declined, and 157 are unchanged on the BSE. 

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Asian Paints Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were NTPC Ltd, Bajaj Finance Ltd and ICICI Bank.  

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.84% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.75%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Alkem Laboratories Ltd and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Prince Pipes and Fittings Ltd and Vikas Lifecare Ltd.  

The BSE Oil & Gas Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Financial Services Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Oil & Gas Index soared 1.15% led by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd while the BSE Financial Services Index was down 0.09% dragged down by Ujjivan Financial Services Ltd and Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd.  

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Prince Pipes and Fittings Ltd, Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd and Deepak Nitrite Ltd.
