The top Sensex gainers were Tata Motors Ltd, Tech Mahindra Ltd and Larsen & Toubro Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Ultratech Cements Ltd, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd and Nestle India Ltd.
The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.44% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.73%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Bharat Forge Ltd and Jindal Steel Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Ashoka Buildcon Ltd and PNB Gilts Ltd.
The BSE IT Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Telecommunication Index was the top losing sector. The BSE IT Index soared 1.37% led by 63 Moons Technologies Ltd and 3i Infotech Ltd while the BSE Telecommunication Index was down 0.10% dragged down by Indus Tower Ltd and Vodafone Idea Ltd.
