Upper Circuit Stocks Today – 9 October, 2023

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with the Sensex down around 330 points or 0.50% at 65,667 and the Nifty-50 down around 99 points or 0.50% at 19,556. About 1,005 shares have advanced, 2,422 declined, and 169 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were HCL Technologies Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd and Wipro Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Asian Paints Ltd, State Bank of India and Titan India Ltd.

The BSE IT Index was the only gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Utilities Index was the top losing sector. The BSE IT Index soared 0.35% led by Nucleus Software Exports Ltd and Datamatics Global Services Ltd while the BSE Utilities Index was down 1.67% dragged down by Adani Power and Rattan India Power Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading lower, with the BSE Mid-cap index down 1% and the BSE Small-cap index down 1.20%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Macrotech Developers Ltd and Max Healthcare Institute Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were SEPC Ltd and Archean Chemical Industries Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Solar Industries India Ltd, Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd and Oil India Ltd.
