On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading flat with Sensex down around 28 points or 0.05% at 66,500 and the Nifty-50 down around 16 points or 0.09% at 19,739. About 2,070 shares have advanced, 1,209 declined, and 166 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on BSE Sensex Index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Tech Mahindra Ltd, NTPC Ltd and JSW Steel Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Bajaj FinServ Ltd and IndusInd Bank.

The BSE Metals Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE Realty Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Metals Index soared 0.70%, led by Coal India Ltd and Steel Authority of India Ltd while the BSE Realty Index was down 1.75% dragged down by DLF Ltd and Sobha Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.13% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.69%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Indian Railway Finance Corporation of India Ltd and IDBI Bank while the top small-cap gainers were Dharmaj Corp Guard Ltd and Orient Green Power Company Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Lloyds Steels Industries Ltd, Dilip Buildcon Ltd and KIOCL Ltd.
