Upper Circuit Stocks Today – Stocks Locked in Upper Circuit on 1 September, 2023

On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with the Sensex up around 164 points or 0.25% at 64,995 and the Nifty-50 up around 79 points or 0.41% at 19,333. About 2,033 shares have advanced, 1,250 declined, and 179 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex Index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Tata Steel Ltd, JSW Steel Ltd and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, whereas the top Sensex losers were Asian Paints Ltd, Nestle India Ltd and ICICI Bank.

The BSE Oil & Gas Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Healthcare Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Oil & Gas Index soared 1.58%, led by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India and Gail India Ltd, while the BSE Healthcare Index was down 0.20% dragged down by Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Vijaya Diagnostic Centre Ltd. 

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.20% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.58%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Steel Authority of India Ltd and Vodafone Idea Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were DCM Shriram Ltd and Exxaro Tiles Ltd.
