On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading red with Sensex up around 231 points or 0.35% at 65,457 and the Nifty-50 up around 71 points or 0.36% at 19,473. About 1,692 shares have advanced, 1,550 declined, and 170 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on BSE Sensex Index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were HCL Technologies Ltd, Titan Company Ltd, and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Tata Motors Ltd, HCL Technologies Ltd and Asian Paints Ltd.

The BSE Industrials Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE Healthcare Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Industrials Index soared 0.47%, led by Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd and Hindustan Construction Company Ltd while the BSE Healthcare Index was down 0.44% dragged down by Sequent Scientific Ltd and Alkem Laboratories Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.33% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.22%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Indian Overseas Bank and REC Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were Forge Motors Ltd and Ashapura Minechem Ltd.
