Upper Circuit Stocks Today – Stocks Locked in Upper Circuit on 16 August, 2023

On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading red, with Sensex down around 87 points or 0.13% at 65,316 and the Nifty-50 down around 41 points or 0.21% at 19,394. About 1,808 shares have advanced, 1,536 declined, and 158 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on BSE Sensex Index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Infosys Ltd, Tech Mahindra Ltd and HCL Technologies Ltd, whereas the top Sensex losers were Bharti Airtel Ltd, Tata Steel Ltd and IndusInd Bank.

The BSE IT Index was the only gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE Metals Index was the top losing sector. The BSE IT Index soared 0.55%, led by 63 Moons Technologies Ltd and R Systems International Ltd, while the BSE Metals Index was down 1%, dragged down by the Steel Authority of India and Jindal Steel Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.10% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.48%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were JSW Energy Ltd and India Overseas Bank while the top small-cap gainers were Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Ltd and 63 Moons Technologies Ltd.
