Upper Circuit Stocks Today – Stocks Locked in Upper Circuit on 23 August, 2023

On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading flat with Sensex down around 86 points or 0.13% at 65,139 and the Nifty-50 down around 15 points or 0.10% at 19,382. About 2,095 shares have advanced, 1,184 declined, and 158 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on BSE Sensex Index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Larsen & Toubro Ltd, Tata Steel Ltd and Axis Bank whereas the top Sensex losers were ITC Ltd, Jio Financial Services Ltd and Bharti Airtel Ltd.

The BSE Capital Goods Index was the only gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE FMCG Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Capital Goods Index soared 1.08%, led by Suzlon Energy Ltd and Bharat Forge Ltd while the BSE FMCG Index was down 0.50% dragged down by Bikaji Foods International Ltd and Varun Beverages Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.55% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.73%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Indian Overseas Bank and Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were GRM Overseas Ltd and Atul Auto Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: D B Realty Ltd, National Standard India Ltd and Indo Us Bio-Tech Ltd.
