The top Sensex gainers were Larsen & Toubro Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Bajaj Finance Ltd, Hindustan Unilever Ltd, and HCL Technologies Ltd.

The BSE Capital Goods Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Teck Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Capital Goods Index soared 1.05%, led by Suzlon Energy Ltd and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd while the BSE Teck Index was down 0.50% dragged down by Vodafone Idea Ltd and HCL Technologies Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.45% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.60%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd and Gland Pharma Ltd, while the top small-cap gainer was Mangalam Industrial Finance Ltd.
