Upper Circuit Stocks Today – Stocks Locked in Upper Circuit on 4 September, 2023

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading flat with the Sensex down around 50 points or 0.08% at 65,320 and the Nifty-50 up around 4 points or 0.02% at 19,439. About 2,306 shares have advanced, 1,158 declined, and 213 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers on the BSE Sensex Index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were Tata Steel Ltd, JSW Steel Ltd and Ultratech Cement Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were ITC Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and Asian Paints Ltd.

The BSE Metals Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and the BSE Bankex Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Metals Index soared 2.75%, led by Tata Steel Ltd and NMDC Ltd while the BSE Bankex Index was down 0.38% dragged down by Axis Bank and ICICI Bank. 

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.69% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.81%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Yes Bank and IDBI Bank, while the top small-cap gainers were GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd and MMTC Ltd.

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Nazara Technologies Ltd, Jaiprakash Associates Ltd and Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.
