Established in 2018 by the Kalpathi AGS Group, Veranda Learning is a publicly traded education firm. It offers coaching for competitive examinations such as Bank, SSC, Railway, TNPSC, and Kerala PSC, in addition to skilling and upskilling programmes. With an impressive success rate of 84%, the company provides practice sessions, mock interviews, and special events across its branches.

Veranda Learning is Raising ₹250 Crore Fund

Based in Chennai, Veranda Learning has garnered approvals to raise up to ₹250 crore through a preferential issue as part of a wider fundraising initiative intended to be concluded within this financial year. “We are delighted by the strong interest in the private placement from prominent investors.

This successful fundraising provides Veranda with a solid capital foundation to propel our next growth phase and reflects investors’ confidence in our vision and growth potential,” stated Suresh Kalpathi, Executive Director and Chairman of Veranda Learning.

Veranda Learning Solutions Acquisition

Furthermore, Veranda Learning Solutions revealed its intention to acquire a 51% share in BB Publications Private Limited for ₹126.2 crore and a 65% share in Navkar Digital Institute Private Limited for ₹45.5 crore. These acquisitions will enhance Veranda’s CA/CMA coaching programmes, strengthening its position as a leading institution in commerce education across India.

The Chennai-based company is on track to close all acquisitions in this financial year, and no further equity dilution in Veranda Learning is expected beyond this financial year, according to Kalpathi. In April, Veranda acquired Kerala-based Logic Management Training Institutes to expand its reach and provide students with a wider range of educational programmes.

Veranda Learning Solutions Enhance Portfolio

Navkar, founded by educator Hiteshkumar Shah with over 17 years of teaching experience, is a prominent offline platform for CA aspirants in Gujarat. These acquisitions will enhance Veranda’s existing portfolio in chartered accountant, cost management accountant, and association of chartered certified accountants coaching offerings and will be integrated with JK Shah Classes.
