Vikas Lifecare Limited announced the stock exchanges about a strategic collaboration with the Defence Electronic Applications Laboratory (DEAL), a premier lab under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in Dehradun, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, and the CSIR-National Physical Laboratory (CSIR-NPL) in Delhi.

This partnership aims to advance the development of Nano composites for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding applications, targeting a wide range of commercial, military, scientific electronic devices, and communication instruments. To formalise this collaboration, a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) has been signed by all parties involved.

The primary goal of this NDA is to design and develop advanced carbon fiber and MWCNT/graphene nano ferrite composites specifically for EMI shielding applications. The focus areas include:

  • Design and Development: Creation of nano composites using exfoliated graphite blended with MWCNT in a polymer matrix or carbon fiber polymer composites. Incorporation of silver (Ag) and copper (Cu) nanoparticles to enhance the electrical and thermal conductivity of the composites.
  • Optimisation: Fine-tuning processing and material parameters to ensure the production of high-performance nano composite products.
  • Applications: Development of materials for use in a wide range of commercial, military, and scientific electronic devices and communication instruments.

This teamwork marks as an important advancement in the field of EMI shielding, which is essential for protecting electronic devices from electromagnetic interference. The integration of advanced materials such as MWCNT, graphene, and nano ferrites, along with silver and copper nanoparticles, is expected to result in superior performance, meeting the stringent demands of various high-stakes applications.

The company stated that this partnership is expected to set new benchmarks in the field of Nano composites for EMI shielding. By combining the expertise and resources of all participating institutions, the project aims to deliver breakthrough innovations that will not only meet but exceed current industry standards.
