On August 12, 2024, Voltas Limited announced its Consolidated Financial Results for the quarter ending June 30, 2024, showcasing impressive growth across its segments.

The company reported a remarkable 46% increase in consolidated Total Income in Q1 FY 2025, reaching ₹5,001 crore compared to ₹3,430 crores in the same quarter of the previous year. This growth is attributed to strong performance across its business segments, underpinned by strategic execution and market leadership.

The quarter’s Profit Before tax surged by 123%, reaching ₹452 crore, marking Voltas’s highest-ever quarterly profit. This is a significant increase from ₹203 crore reported in the corresponding quarter last year. The Net Profit (after tax) also saw a substantial rise, reaching ₹335 crore compared to ₹129 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.

Segment-Wise Performance

  • Unitary Cooling Products: This segment continued to lead the market with a robust performance. The overall volume of Unitary Cooling Products grew by 67%, reflecting the segment’s strong growth momentum. Voltas maintained its leadership position in the air conditioning market, with an Exit Market Share of 21.2% as of June 2024.Segment Revenue increased by 51% to ₹3,802 crores, up from ₹2,514 crores in the corresponding quarter last year. The Segment Result grew by 58% to ₹327 crores, compared to ₹207 crores in the same period last year.
  • Electro-Mechanical Projects and Services: This segment, including Domestic and International Projects, saw a 40% increase in Segment Revenue, reaching ₹949 crores compared to ₹679 crores in the corresponding quarter last year. The Domestic Projects business benefited from a healthy carry-forward order book and robust project management.
  • Engineering Products and Services: This segment demonstrated steady performance with a revenue increase to ₹161 crore from ₹142 crore in the previous year. However, the segment result was slightly lower at ₹45 crore compared to ₹54 crore in the same period last year. A strong order backlog and disciplined execution efforts supported the steady performance.
