Indian benchmark indices started today’s trading session at new record highs, driven by optimism from India’s retail inflation easing to a 12-month low and strength in information technology stocks mirroring overnight gains in US markets. Additionally, real estate, consumer durables, capital goods and financial services stocks experienced an uptrend.

At 10:30 am, the BSE Sensex gained 0.25% reaching a level of 76,802. The Nifty 50 index added 0.23% to the 23,377 level. On the Sensex, Tech Mahindra, Wipro and Tata Consultancy Services were among the top gainers, whereas Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank and JSW Steel were among the market draggers.

  1. L&T Finance Ltd

    Shares of L&T Finance Ltd experienced a massive surge in trading volume today, soaring approximately 5% to reach an intraday high of Rs 179 per share on the BSE. The non-banking financial company (NBFC) provides a wide array of financial products and services, including farm equipment finance, two-wheeler finance, micro loans, consumer loans, home loans, loans against property, real estate finance, infrastructure finance, an infrastructure debt fund, and other services.

  2. India Shelter Finance Corporation Ltd

    Shares of India Shelter Finance Corporation Ltd saw a significant increase in trading volume, rising more than 3% to reach an intraday high of Rs 685 per share on the BSE. The company specializes in affordable housing for retail customers, offering loans for various housing needs, including construction, expansion, renovation, and the acquisition of new homes or plots.

  3. Sera Investments & Finance India Ltd

    Shares of Sera Investments & Finance India Ltd, experiencing heightened buying interest, hit the 2% upper circuit at Rs 14.99 per share on the BSE. The stock has been consistently hitting the upper circuit for multiple trading sessions. The company primarily engages in stock market trading, providing loans, and leasing.
