The Sensex and Nifty are both on a downward trajectory, marking plunged of 0.50% and 0.42%, respectively. In parallel, the Nifty Mid-cap and Nifty Small-cap segments exhibiting mixed momentum, down by 0.10% and up 0.10%, respectively.  

Examining the constituents of the Nifty 50 index, notable gainers include Coal India, Eicher Motors and NTPC. On the flip side Apollo Hospital, Bajaj Finance and Tech Mahindra stand out as prominent decliners.  

Some of the noteworthy volume movers are as follows

SBFC Finance Ltd: The company is a systemically important, NBFC (NBFC-ND-SI) offering Secured MSME Loans and Loans against Gold. The stock’s trading volume surged more than 20.44 times on BSE and traded at an intraday high & 52-week high of Rs 96.81 per share. 

Everest Kanto Cylinder Ltd: The company is engaged in the manufacture of high-pressure seamless gas cylinders along with other cylinders and equipments used for containing and storage of natural gas, liquids and air. The stock has witnessed a significant surge in trading volume, increasing by more than 13.10 times and trading at an intraday & 52-week highs of Rs 144.20 per share on the BSE. 

Wockhardt Ltd: The company is a global pharmaceutical and biotechnology organization engaged in manufacturing finished dosage formulations, injectables, biopharmaceuticals, orals and topicals (creams and ointments). The stock has seen a substantial increase in trading volume, rising by more than 7 times and reaching an intraday high and 52-week high of Rs 275.50 per share on the BSE.  

Swan Energy Ltd: The company is a manufacturer and marketer of cotton and polyester textile products in India. The stock has experienced a substantial increase in trading volume, rising by more than 5 times and traded at an intraday high & 52-week high of Rs 463.45 per share on the BSE.   

Hindustan Copper Ltd: The company is the first Indian PSU and only vertically integrated copper producing company. The stock has witnessed a substantial surge in trading volume, increasing by more than 4.7 times and reached an intraday high of Rs 160.6 apiece on the BSE.
