Domestic indices continued their upward trend, hovering around 52-week highs on the bourses. Broader indices outperformed the main indices by a notable margin.

At 10:10 am, the BSE Sensex added 0.12% reaching a level of 80,763. The Nifty 50 index gained 0.15% to the 24,622 level. On the Sensex, Bharti Airtel, Infosys and Tata Steel were among the top gainers, whereas Kotak Mahindra Bank, Larsen & Toubro and Reliance Industries were among the market draggers.

Some of the noteworthy volume movers are as follows:

  1. Neogen Chemicals Ltd

    Shares of Neogen Chemicals Ltd saw a remarkable 30-fold surge in trading volume, resulting in a modest gain of around 1%, reaching an intraday high of Rs 1,660 per share on the BSE. The company specializes in manufacturing bromine and lithium-based organic and organo-metallic compounds, which are utilized in the pharmaceutical, agricultural, chemicals, and engineering industries.

  2. Jaykay Enterprises Ltd

    Shares of Jaykay Enterprises Ltd experienced a significant surge in trading volume today, increasing fivefold, which spurred substantial buying interest. Consequently, the stock was locked at a 5% upper circuit at Rs 181.55 per share on the BSE, reaching a new 52-week high. It specializes in additive manufacturing systems, prototyping, powder metallurgy, large scale digital manufacturing, reverse engineering, and plant modelling. Additionally, the company supplies engineering products, software design and development, and manufactures parts and accessories for the defence and aerospace sectors.

  3. Bharti Hexacom Ltd

    Shares of Bharti Hexacom Ltd witnessed a threefold increase in trading volume, climbing more than 9% to reach an intraday high of Rs 1,165 per share on the BSE. The company operates as a communication solutions provider, delivering consumer mobile services, fixed-line telephone, and broadband services to customers in the Rajasthan and North East telecommunication circles of India, covering the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura.
