The Sensex and Nifty are both on a positive trajectory, marking a surge of 0.50% and 0.60%, respectively. In parallel, the Nifty Mid-cap and Nifty Small-cap segments exhibited higher momentum, up by 0.98% and up 1.36%, respectively.

Examining the constituents of the Nifty 50 index, notable gainers include Tata Motors, Tata Steel Ltd and Coal India. On the flip side HDFC Bank, BPCL and Reliance Industries stand out as prominent decliners.
