Domestic indices oscillated between modest gains and losses today, with broader indices reflecting a similar trend. Notable gains were observed in the FMCG, power, and capital goods sectors, while the banks and financial services sectors were the major laggards.

At 10:45 am, the BSE Sensex added 0.13% reaching a level of 74,047. The Nifty 50 index edged up by 0.08% to the 22,546 level. On the Sensex, Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Reliance Industries and NTPC Ltd were among the top gainers, whereas Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, State Bank of India and Mahindra & Mahindra were among the market draggers.

  • Apollo Tyres Ltd

    Shares of Apollo Tyres Ltd saw a massive surge in trading volume, opening the trading session with modest gains and reaching an intraday high of Rs 510 before quickly paring those gains. The company, a leading manufacturer of both bias and radial tyres, produces a range of prominent brands for trucks, light trucks, passenger cars, and farm vehicles in India, serving both original equipment manufacturers and the replacement market.

  • Dredging Corporation of India Ltd

    Shares of Dredging Corporation of India Ltd, buoyed by increased buying interest, hit a 5% upper circuit, reaching a new 52-week high of Rs 937 per share on the BSE. The company provides integrated dredging services to ports, the Indian Navy, and other maritime organizations in India. Its service portfolio includes maintenance dredging, capital dredging, land reclamation, beach nourishment, and shallow water dredging.

  • General Insurance Corporation of India

    Shares of General Insurance Corporation of India experienced a sevenfold surge in trading volume, climbing more than 8% to reach an intraday high of Rs 373.10 per share on the BSE. The company specializes in the business of reinsurance and is one of the largest global reinsurer groups.
