Domestic indices, reflecting the weakness in most global markets, struggled to gain positive momentum and traded lower, impacted by losses in the information technology, FMCG, and auto sectors. In contrast, the BSE Small-cap Index demonstrated optimistic investor sentiment.

At 10:30 am, the BSE Sensex declined 0.12% reaching a level of 75,326. The Nifty 50 index lost 0.15% to the 22,933 level. On the Sensex, Larsen & Toubro, UltraTech Cement Company and State Bank of India were among the top gainers, whereas Tata Consultancy Services, Mahindra & Mahindra and ITC Ltd were among the market draggers.

  • Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Ltd

    Shares of Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Ltd experienced a remarkable 33-fold increase in trading volume, surging to hit the 20% upper circuit and reaching a 52-week high of Rs 1,491.10 per share on the BSE. The company is primarily involved in the manufacturing, sales, and trading of air conditioners, refrigerators, chillers, and VRF systems.

  • JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd

    Shares of JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd saw a 20-fold surge in trading volume, gaining more than 7% to reach an intraday high of Rs 851.50 per share on the BSE. As part of the JK Group, the company manufactures and supplies cement and related products, such as RMC and AAC blocks, across various states in India.

  • Finolex Cables Ltd

    Shares of Finolex Cables Ltd witnessed significant buying interest, climbing 14% to reach a 52-week high of Rs 1,308.25 per share on the BSE. The company is a leading manufacturer of electrical and telecommunication cables in India and has also expanded into the production of Fast-Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) and home appliances. The company has established itself as a preferred electrical solutions provider for both retail and institutional markets in India, creating a strong and reputable brand name.
