Indian benchmark indices rallied today, reaching new record highs, led by gains in the energy, oil & gas, metal, and power sectors. Broader indices continued to outperform the main indices.

At 10:40 am, the BSE Sensex surged 0.39% reaching a level of 79,550. The Nifty 50 index climbed 0.40% to the 24,140 level. On the Sensex, Tata Motors, State Bank of India and Reliance Industries were among the top gainers, whereas IndusInd Bank, HCL Technologies and Bharti Airtel were among the market draggers.

  1. Samhi Hotels Ltd

Shares of Samhi Hotels Ltd experienced a significant surge today, with a notable increase in trading volume and buying interest, climbing more than 5% to reach an intraday high of Rs 199.55 per share on the BSE. As a leading player in India’s hospitality sector, the company maintains enduring affiliations with three renowned hotel brands and operators including Marriott, IHG, and Hyatt.

  1. Borosil Ltd

Shares of Borosil Ltd saw a significant rise in trading volume today, gaining over 2% to reach an intraday high of Rs 332.35 per share on the BSE. The company operates in two business segments including scientific and industrial products, and consumer products. It is a major supplier of laboratory glassware, microwaveable kitchenware, and opal ware in India. It markets and sells its microwavable and flameproof kitchenware, as well as glass tumblers, through more than 15,000 retail outlets.

  1. Polycab India Ltd

Shares of Polycab India Ltd faced significant selling pressure, plunging over 5% to reach an intraday low of Rs 6,636 per share on the BSE. As one of India’s leading manufacturers of cables, wires, and allied products such as uPVC conduits, lugs, and glands, the company has also expanded its offerings to include a wide range of consumer electrical products like fans, switches, switchgear, LED lights and luminaires, solar inverters, and pumps.
