Today, domestic indices continued their robust rally, spearheaded by the Bajaj twins and marked by substantial gains in the utilities, power, capital goods, and financial services sectors. This optimism was echoed in the broader markets as well.

At 10:05 am, the BSE Sensex soared 0.82% reaching a level of 73,597. The Nifty 50 index climbed 0.82% to the 22,305 level. On the Sensex, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries were among the top gainers, whereas HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra and Axis Bank were among the market draggers.

Some of the noteworthy volume movers are as follows:

  1. IDFC First Bank Ltd
    Shares of IDFC First Bank Ltd, witnessing a nearly 90-fold increase in trading volume, faced a decline of more than 3%, hitting an intraday low of Rs 75.10 per share on the BSE. The noticeable decline occurred following a significant block deal valued at Rs 1,386 crore on the exchanges. IDFC First Bank operates in the banking services sector and was formed through the merger of erstwhile IDFC Bank and erstwhile Capital First in 2018.
  2. GOCL Corporation Ltd
    GOCL Corporation Ltd, experiencing a sixfold surge in trading volume along with heightened buying interest, saw its shares temporarily locked at the 20% upper circuit, reaching Rs 453.35 per share on the BSE. Formerly known as Gulf Oil Corporation, the company has been a prominent player in the field of energetics and commercial explosives. Additionally, the company operates in various sectors including electronics, real estate, metal cladding, and others.
  3. Zen Technologies Ltd
    Shares of Zen Technologies Ltd hit the 5% upper circuit, reaching Rs 983.75 per share on the BSE. The company specializes in crafting combat training solutions and counter-drone systems. It plays a pivotal role in domesticating technologies that serve the needs of the Indian armed forces, state police forces, and paramilitary forces.
