Bajaj twins, Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv, spearheaded today’s gains, propelling the indices closer to their all-time highs on the bourses. Additionally, power, metal, and utilities sectors emerged as other leading gainers, with all sectoral indices posting notable gains. The initial gains were considerably reduced later on.

At 10:10 am, the BSE Sensex added 0.08% reaching a level of 74,678. The Nifty 50 index gained 0.21% to the 22,694 level. On the Sensex, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv and NTPC Ltd were among the top gainers, whereas Bharti Airtel, Larsen & Toubro and Maruti Suzuki were among the market draggers.

  • Ador Fontech Ltd

Shares of Ador Fontech Ltd witnessed a surge in trading volume, increasing tenfold, and climbed more than 15% to reach an intraday high of Rs 164.80 per share on the BSE. However, the scrip immediately experienced profit booking. The company is engaged in manufacturing, exporting, providing services, and trading MIG welding machines, welding fume extractors, welding transformers, and related products.

  • Ajanta Pharma Ltd

Shares of Ajanta Pharma Ltd, witnessing a nine-fold rise in trading volume, soared to reach a new 52-week high of Rs 2,531.95 per share on the BSE. The company is primarily engaged in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of specialty pharmaceutical quality finished dosages. The company concentrates on specialized and pioneering medications within four therapeutic domains including cardiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, and pain management.

  • Coforge Ltd

Shares of Coforge Ltd experienced severe selling pressure and plunged more than 9% today, reaching an intraday low of Rs 4,505.25 per share on the BSE after brokerages downgraded the stock. Coforge is an IT services company that provides end-to-end software solutions and services and is among the top-20 Indian software exporters. The company has established business partnerships with major IT firms globally.
