The domestic indices initiated the trading session on a lower note but underwent a robust ascent, trading higher primarily due to significant gains in auto, financial services, and banking stocks. At 10:20 am, the BSE Sensex gained 0.40%, reaching a level of 71,421. The Nifty 50 index climbed 0.42% to the 21,612 level. On the Sensex, Tata Motors, Mahindra and Mahindra and HDFC Bank were among the top gainers, whereas Larsen & Toubro, Titan and Bharti Airtel were among the market draggers.

Some of the noteworthy volume movers are as follows:

Zen Technologies Ltd: With a fivefold increase in trading volume, the shares of the company have been locked at the 5% upper circuit, reaching Rs 840.75 per share on the BSE. The company specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of combat training solutions and counter-drone solutions for defence and security forces. Additionally, it actively participates in the indigenization of technologies that prove advantageous to the Indian armed forces, state police forces, and paramilitary forces.

Menon Pistons Ltd: The shares witnessed a fourfold surge in trading volume and climbed more than 18%, reaching a 52-week high of Rs 125.90 per share on the BSE. The company operates in the manufacturing of auto components, specializing in items like pistons, rings, auto shafts designed for commercial vehicles, tractors, passenger cars, and heavy-duty stationary engines.

PNB Gilts Ltd: The shares experienced an ascent of over 11%, reaching a fresh 52-week high at Rs 125.91 per share on the BSE. The company primarily engages in supporting government borrowing programs through underwriting government securities issuances. Additionally, it is involved in trading a diverse range of fixed income instruments, including government securities, treasury bills, state development loans, corporate bonds, interest rate swaps, and various money market instruments such as certificates of deposits and commercial papers.
