Indian frontline indices continued their rally, reaching new all-time highs on the bourses once again today. Information technology, auto and power sector stocks were on a strong uptrend, while financial services, energy, oil and gas sectors remained weak.

At 10:35 am, the BSE Sensex gained 0.14% reaching a level of 80,100. The Nifty 50 index added 0.12% to the 24,316 level. On the Sensex, HCL Technologies, ICICI Bank and Tata Consultancy Services were among the top gainers, whereas HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank and UltraTech Cement Company were among the market draggers.

Some of the noteworthy volume movers are as follows:

  1. Godrej Consumer Products Ltd

    Shares of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd experienced a 42-fold increase in trading volume today, gaining modestly by around 1% to reach an intraday high of Rs 1,380 per share on the BSE. The company is a fast-moving consumer goods company that manufactures and markets household and personal care products.

  2. Alstone Textiles (India) Ltd

    Shares of Alstone Textiles (India) Ltd saw a fivefold surge in trading volume but faced selling pressure, falling more than 3% to reach an intraday low of Rs 0.91 per share on the BSE. The company is engaged in the supply, trade, and dealing of textiles, including cotton, woollen, art silk, natural silk, readymade garments, hosiery, synthetic fibre and fabric, and mixed fabrics. Additionally, the company has diversified into various businesses, ranging from third-party product distributions to originating unsecured personal loans, corporate loans, and more.

  3. MIC Electronics Ltd

    Shares of MIC Electronics Ltd continued to hit back-to-back upper circuits, locking at a 5% upper circuit today and reaching a new 52-week high of Rs 100.02 per share on the BSE. The company is a global leader in designing, developing, and manufacturing LED video displays, high-end electronic and telecommunication equipment, and telecom software products.
