The domestic indices experienced fluctuations, hovering between modest gains and losses, finding it challenging to gather momentum amidst notable downturns in sectors such as power, utilities, metals, telecom, and IT. However, the BSE Bankex and BSE Financial Services indices emerged as the sole gainers on the BSE for the day.

At 10:45 am, the BSE Sensex declined 0.16%, reaching a level of 73,559. The Nifty 50 index fell 0.21% to the 22,308 level. On the Sensex, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank were among the top gainers, whereas NTPC Ltd, JSW Steel and Power Grid Corporation of India were among the market draggers.

Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd

Shares of Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd saw an astonishing 200-fold surge in trading volume, accompanied by a modest intraday gain, reaching Rs 13,250 per share on the BSE. The company specializes in the production of ethnic and natural vegetarian packaged and ready-to-eat (RTE) and ready-to-cook (RTC) food products, marketed under the brand name ‘Tasty Bite’.

Zomato Ltd

Shares of Zomato Ltd experienced a staggering 90-fold surge in trading volume following a block deal worth Rs 3,112 crore, causing them to plummet by over 5% and hit an intraday low of Rs 157.70 per share on the BSE. Zomato is a leading online food service platform known for the substantial value of food it sells. Its services encompass food delivery, dining-out options, loyalty programs, and various other offerings.

Veritas (India) Ltd

Veritas (India) Ltd experienced an around 50-fold increase in trading volume, propelling its shares upwards as robust buying interest persisted, causing them to hit the upper circuit and reach a new 52-week high of Rs 875.15 per share on the BSE. The company is primarily engaged in the trading and distribution of chemicals, logistics, software development, and power generation, particularly in wind energy.
