Indian benchmark indices commenced the trading session with optimism, edging closer to their 52-week high. Noteworthy gains in the information technology, capital goods, real estate, power, and metal sectors fuelled upbeat sentiment, while the BSE Telecommunication sector was the sole sector trading in the red. The broader indices mirrored the upward trend observed in the main indices, reflecting overall market sentiment.

At 11:30 am, the BSE Sensex soared 0.80%, reaching a level of 71,925. The Nifty 50 index climbed 0.84% to the 21,693 level. On the Sensex, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Motors and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries were among the top gainers, whereas Nestle India and Asian Paints were among the market draggers.

Metropolis Healthcare Ltd

The trading volume of shares surged more than 27 times, reaching an intraday high of Rs 1,682 per share on the BSE. This company stands as a leading player in the Indian diagnostics sector, operating a network of diagnostic centers spanning India, South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

KMC Speciality Hospitals (India) Ltd

Shares witnessed significant trading activity, surging more than 12% to reach a 52-week high of Rs 99 per share on the BSE. Shares have experienced a notable rally, registering a gain of more than 17% in the past month. The company, operating in the healthcare sector, manages a multi-specialty hospital in Trichy, actively involved in providing medical and healthcare services.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd

Shares faced substantial selling pressure, experiencing a 10% decline and hitting the lower circuit at Rs 249.75 per share on the BSE. The Zee Entertainment Enterprises shares have fallen approximately 7% in the last month. The company is involved in broadcasting satellite television channels, serving as a space-selling agent for other television channels, and engaging in the sale of media content.
